Strong Families/Familias Fuertes Classes Offered this Winter

It's a new year, and Strong Families/Familias Fuertes parenting classes will begin soon across Central Washington in English and Spanish! Strong Families/Familias Fuertes is designed to increase family strengths, build parenting skills, teach life skills, improve family bonding, and reduce risk factors for violence and substance abuse in participating families. 

The free classes are held over seven weeks in 13 sessions, and are taught in both English and Spanish. The program has been recognized internationally for its innovative and comprehensive approach to developing parenting skills across cultures and ethnic groups. Comprehensive has provided these parenting classes to over 1,400 parents and caregivers since 1998. The classes are offered free of charge and often times provide free onsite childcare. To learn more or to register for one of the free class series beginning in January, click the links below: 

Strong Families: January 18 - March 1 at the Walla Walla YWCA (English)

Familias Fuertes: 23 de enero al 6 de marzo al Kiona-Benton High School (Spanish)
