About

Our Adult Residential Treatment Facility in Walla Walla, also known as Waypoint, offers crisis stabilization and residential treatment for individuals 18 years of age and older. At this location, we help adults experiencing a crisis, such as thoughts of suicide or substance use. The 16-bed facility offers a quiet, safe, supportive environment, providing access to the most effective therapy available. With staff present 24 hours a day and resources available on-site, we are dedicated to providing high-quality care and assisting individuals to restore their health.

Approach to Care

During their stay, and within 24 hours of admission, each resident will have an individualized care plan developed between staff, the resident, and sometimes their family or caregiver. A copy of the care plan will be given to the resident and will include the following: Problems, goals, and objectives specific to the psychiatric condition which brought the resident to the treatment facility. Physical health conditions that can be treated while at the facility. Follow-up care criteria that identify the least restrictive level of care in which the resident can be placed and coordination for care after being discharged.

Goals

Our goal is to assist residents in attaining long-term maintenance and control of their health by teaching them communication skills, coping with life conflicts, and understanding the recovery process. We strive to engage our clients in their mental health treatment and recovery by promoting independent decision-making skills. Our clients leave the facility with the tools that will help improve their daily living, social interactions, and employment goals.
